MONDAY, JUNE 6

Catalytic Converters Cut

A Frankfort man and a Tinley Park woman had their catalytic converters cut from their vehicles, police said. The woman reported hers stolen at around 4:30 p.m. from her Toyota. An officer on patrol around 9 p.m. in the Hickory Creek Metra parking lot saw a muffler hanging from a Jeep and notified the owner, police said.

Underage Drinking

Stephen K. Baiamonte, 18, of the 9000 block of Redcastle Drive in Tinley Park, was given a ticket for underage drinking. According to the report, police saw three people around 3:30 a.m., and one of them had a backpack and ran off. Baiamonte was released at the scene and is due in court at the Mokena Village Hall.

One Headlight Leads to Drug Arrest

Daniel R. Sullivan, 19, of the 18700 block of Dove Avenue in Mokena, was cited for possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia. According to police, the female driver was pulled over for having only one working headlight. A search of the car found cannabis and a glass pipe near the passenger's side, police said. Sullivan was released on an I-Bond, pending a court date of July 11 in Frankfort. The driver was not charged.

FRIDAY, JUNE 3

DUI at Darvin Drive

Jack M. Reczynski, 40, of the 6700 block of West 180th Street in Tinley Park, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. Reczynski also was issued traffic tickets for speeding and improper lane usage. He posted a $300 credit card bond pending a July 7 Joliet court date.

THURSDAY, JUNE 2

A Pair of Burglaries From Cars

Two Mokena residents reported items stolen from their cars. According to the reports, 15 CDs were stolen from an unlocked car in the 9900 block of Derby Lane. A a 250 GB iPod and a $5 McDonalds gift card were reported stolen from an unlocked car in the 19200 block of Thornham Lane.

DUI-Drugs and Alcohol

Nicholas R. Cole, 25, of the 19500 block of Trenton Way in Mokena, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol. According to the report, a patrol officer saw a car make a wide left turn. The officer, who said Cole appeared "dazed," smelled burnt cannabis coming from the car. Police later found a pipe and a jar containing cannabis, the report said. Cole was released on bond pending a July 5 court date in Joliet.

MONDAY, MAY 30

Car-Motorcycle Accident Draws DUI Charge

Police responded to an accident between a car and a motorcycle at the intersection of First Street and Midland Avenue. According to the report, the driver of the car, Julius J. Wroble, Jr., 60, of the 19300 block of Union Avenue in Mokena, ran a stop sign approaching First Street, and the motorcycle struck Wroble's car. The responding officer found Wroble to be under the influence of alcohol and prescription drugs, the report said. Two 12-packs of beer were found in the car with a total of five cans missing, police said. Wroble was issued tickets for the accident and driving without insurance. He posted bond pending a July 7 court date.
