Police Blotter: Stolen Van Tires; Credit Card Fraud

Saturday, Feb. 26

Tires Taken

The front passenger side tire and spare tire were reported stolen from a red 1997 Ford E150 van that was parked in front of Struego Automotive, 19204 85th Ct. The car's owner told police the theft took place between 6 p.m. on Feb. 23 and 8 a.m. on Feb. 26. The owner said the passenger side tire, a Goodyear Wrangler valued at $300, had been replaced with another tire that began to deflate when he started driving. The spare was valued at $100.

Friday, Feb. 25

Credit Card Fraud

A Mokena woman told police that charges to La Quinta hotels had been made on her credit card without her permission. The first charge was made in October and amounted to $84.24. The other charge was made in January and amounted to $95.94.

A Mokena woman told police someone had taken Vicodin pills from her home in the 19900 block of Anna Street.
