Police Blotter: Suspected DUI on 191st; Criminal Damage to Property

Mokena police reports, March 4-9.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 9

Suspected DUI on 191st Street

Richard Linares, 39, of the 1000 block of Shagbark Road in New Lenox, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to signal, improper lane usage and operation of an uninsured vehicle, police said. Linares was stopped by police after a patrol officer saw him swerving while driving westbound on 191st Street and failing to signal when he pulled into the strip mall in the 10100 block of 191st. He was released on bond pending an April court date in Joliet.

SATURDAY, MARCH 5

iPhone Stolen from 191 South

A woman told police an unknown person had taken her iPhone, driver's license and credit card from 191 South, 10160 W. 191st St.

FRIDAY, MARCH 4

Criminal Damage to Property

An Orland Park woman told police there had been damage to the door of a model home she owns in the 11500 block of Hummingbird Court in Mokena. She said the damage happened between 4 p.m. on Feb. 27 and 1 p.m. on March 4.
