Possession of drug equipment ends in an arrest.

FRIDAY, FEB. 8

Woman refuses sex, man charged with battery

Mark Loven, 24, of the 9900 block of Sussex Court, was charged with battery for insisting on sex from a 20-year-old Frankfort woman and then pulling her hair when she refused.

According to the report, Loven and the woman had left a home in the 10800 block of W. LaPorte Road; they were en route to a store for snacks. While the woman was driving, Loven reportedly insisted on sex. She refused.

The woman, according to police, said when she refused the man, he grabbed her by the hair and attempted to bang her head into the steering wheel. She said Loven was screaming at her.

Although the incident happened in Mokena, the woman said she didn't know where the police department was located and drove with Loven in the car to the Frankfort Police Department. Mokena police were called to Frankfort and arrested Loven.

Caught with drug equipment

Thomas Badie, 32, Orland Park, was charged with possession of drug equipment after a disturbance in the 19400 block S. Wolf Road. According to the report, police were called to a woman's home because Badie refused to leave. When police arrived, Badie reportedly smelled of marijuana and had a drug equipment in his pocket.

He posted a $750 I-Bond and was released.

WEDNESDAY, FEB. 6

Nabbed on an in-state warrant

Kenneth Pedersen III, 22, of the 9100 block of W. Willow Street, was picked up at his home on an outstanding warrant.

Woman refuses sex: Title should be: "Woman refuses Loven"

Patch articles are a little overly ridiculous lately. Must be a slow news time. You see these types of news blurps in small town America where "Mrs Miller got her flower pot stolen off her front porch yesterday".

this is not a surprise. Mark was that creepy guy at college parties who didn't actually go to college. his friends thought they were doing him a favor when they invited him, but he got so drunk and out of control he wet himself everynight. he actually was a roommate of mine for a month at his friend's insistence. but he was so out of control a filthy I couldn't handle it. when the moron refused to pay us rent after one month I kicked him out. his parents gave him $300 for rent and he must have thought he hit the lotto because he spent it so quick.he refused to get a job. but wanted to live the college lifestyle despite not going to college. when i read this story I couldnt help but LAUGH but my sympathy to the girl who was the victim of yet another one of mark's childish tirades. let this be a warning....if you know mark loven get the heck away. he has nothing to offer but trouble!
