Woman Charged With Criminal Trespass

Trina V. Hodges, 41, of the 10700 block of S. Keeler Avenue in Oak Lawn, was charged with criminal trespass after an incident at 2:53 p.m. on the 19500 block of 116th Avenue.

An officer was dispatched to a residence following reports of a person refusing to leave. The homeowner told the reporting officer that Hodges had been allowed to stay at the residence for three days. When the homeowner asked Hodges to leave, she refused, according to police reports.

Police spoke to Hodges, but reports say that she refused to move or speak. The officer escorted her from the residence to the front porch. When he told Hodges she had to leave the porch, she refused.

The officer placed Hodges under arrest. At the Mokena Police Department, she refused to sign a recognizance bond. She was released on the bond she refused to sign pending a March 11 court date.

Police blotter information is provided by the Mokena Police Department. Charges are not evidence of guilt. They are a record of police actions taken on a given day, and persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court. If you or a family member are charged or cited and the case is subsequently adjudicated, we encourage you to notify the editor. We will verify and report the outcome.
