What will be your single most important priority if you get elected?

I would like to use my skills from working at the library to help make the clerks office more efficient and effective.

Why are you seeking office?

Being a resident here for 13 years, raising my children here, and working in Mokena have made me very interested in making a difference in our town for myself, my family, and my fellow residents. I am working with a great team, the Mokena FANS, who have the same ideas I do. Together I believe we can make a difference in our town.

What sets you apart from the other candidates?

In you opinion, what are the primary challenges facing the village?

Economic development by far. There are to many empty store fronts and to many missed opportunities for economic growth. Economic development would bring relief to the property taxes we are faced with in Mokena.
I also believe there are not enough programs designed for our teens and Seniors to be part of in Mokena. Economic growth in Mokena would enrich the job market for the eligible teens in Mokena

How will you address those challenges?

I would work closely with the village board to hire an economic development director for the village of Mokena. I would also like to explore options for our local youth and seniors to have programs in Mokena.

If elected, what will be your philosophy as a member of the village board? 

Work as a team for better decisions and have more transparency with our village government.

I believe I will be a great village clerk because of my many years of experience with people and skills acquired at the Library. I will have the ability to bring new ideas and new technology to the clerks office.
