Jackson Jr. May Face Fines and Loss of Pension

The former 2nd District representative may face $250,000 in fines and loss of his federal pension, in addition to jailtime after years of misspent campaign funds.

Former 2nd District Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. may lose an estimated $45,000 in federal pension and could face up to five years in prison, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Reports indicate Jackson Jr. intends to plead guilty —money which he now must pay back along with some of the swag he’s collected over the years. His wife, former Chicago Alderman Sandi Jackson, faces up to three years in prison for filing false tax returns for the past six years. She also plans on pleading guilty, the report says. Both Jackson’s could also each be fined up to $250,000.

The outcome of the court’s decision will be based on many factors, some of which help Jackson, such as his ongoing struggle with Bipolar II disorder and his willingness to plead guilty. Other issues may hinder him, such as the amount of time he had been misspending campign money and his former dealings with the currently imprisoned former Gov. Rod Blagojevich. It is speculated that Sandi Jackson will see a less severe punishment, partly because of the couple's two children.

I'll bet if he ran for Congress again he'd win.

I'm so sick and tired of hearing that Jackson "might " be fined and that he "might" lose his pension and how we keep getting the sympathy play because of his mental issues. He SHOULD be fined, he SHOULD lose his pension and he SHOULD get some real gray bar hotel time, he's a CROOK and so is his wife. Both of them thought they were smarter than everybody else and all JJJr kept saying was if they had something on him, "bring it on" and by golly they did. Now it's time to pay the piper.

It's amazes me that 68% of the "cool aid" drinking democrats of the 2nd Dristrict casted (wasted) they're votes for this "crook" this past November. They felt that this egomaniac was worthy of they're precious vote. My, what incredibly low standards they have for electing they're representatives in Washington. I wonder how many will vote for Ex-Convict Mel Reynolds? The 2nd District is full of foolish voters who do not value they're precious vote or can think for themselves.

No Doubt The clueless voters in the 2nd District would vote him in regardless of what he has done. BAAAAAAA

I hope someone who voted for this guy will read this and learn a lesson. Of course, they would need to learn how to read first, then they would need to care about anyone else but themselves, then they'd have to admit that they could possibly have ever made a mistake. It might happen though, you never know!
