Mokena's Public Works Superintendent Holds Off on Retirement till Snowplowing Season Ends

Craig Heim, village superintendent of public works, will postpone retirement to help Mokena through the winter.

Having worked for the Village of Mokena for more than 37 years, Craig Heim is planning to retire. At the request of the village administration, he's going to hold off till the end of the heavy snowplowing season.

He initially intended to hang up his hat in the public works department in November, but duty and loyalty called. In a SunTime Media story, Village Administrator John Downs talks about Heim's willingness to stick it out till the end of winter.
