Will County Board's Margo McDermed Wants Kosel's Seat in the House

Will County Board Member Margo McDermed has thrown her hat in the ring for the House GOP, Sun-Times Media reported.

Will County Board Member Margo McDermed, of Mokena, announced that she wants to represent the 37th District in 2015.

On the heels of Rep. Reneé Kosel's (R-New Lenox) retirement announcement at the end of her current term, McDermed threw her hat in the ring for the 2015 election. Elected in November 2012 to represent District 12 on the Will County Board, McDermed referred to her business background and negotiation skills as useful tools in serving on the House GOP, the Sun-Times Media reported.

Previously, McDermed served as Frankfort Township clerk. After 4.5 years as clerk, she resigned her position to sit on the Will County Board.
