Lincoln-Way Art Students Set School Records at Scholastic Art & Writing Competition
Lincoln-Way Central and West art students topped the competition—again, and again, and again. Find out who won what.
Lincoln-Way Central and Lincoln-Way West art students set a school record at both schools for awards at the annual Scholastic Art and Writing Competition.
The Scholastic Art competition is the oldest and most prestigious high school art competition in the United States.
Lincoln-Way West students earned 58 awards and Lincoln-Way Central received 50 awards, which included Gold, Silver, and Honorable Mention awards for their art work. There were 2400 entries for this prestigious competition.

In addition to the awards student artists won at the Scholastic Art Contest, Lincoln-Way West students Brianna Rose and Jessica Karlic each won an award for their artwork at the annual St. Francis University High School Art competition recently.
Brianna won first place Best of Show and $250 cash award for her drawing “Almost December.”
Jessica won third place and a $50 cash award for her drawing “Locked In.”
