Mokena Park District Offers Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program

Mokena Community Park District is excited to announce that The Oaks Recreation and Fitness Center, 10847 LaPorte Road, has been approved as a sanctioned site through the Arthritis Foundation.

New classes are being offered that are designed for those living with arthritis so they can exercise to improve strength and mobility.  Individuals of all ages and varying degrees of arthritis and other rheumatic diseases can participate in this program consisting of endurance and range of motion exercises to strengthen muscles and joints in a safe environment. 

Class will meet for 12 sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning Dec. 4 from 10:45-11:45 a.m.  This highly acclaimed program is conducted by Ellen Friedl,  a certified Arthritis Foundation instructor.  The fee is $57.    Non-residents of the park district will pay an additional fee.

Free demo classes are offered on Nov. 9, Nov. 11 and Nov. 16 from 10:45-11:45 a.m.
