Summit Hill Spartans 7th Grade Girls' Volleyball Advances to State

The 7th grade Summit Hill Junior High School Volleyball Team won the Flossmoor Parker IESA class 7-4A Regional and Sectional. 

The sectional championship on March 10 advanced Summit Hill to the State Tournament in East Peoria, Illinois.  This is the sixth time in seven years that the 7th grade Spartans have advanced to the IESA Class 7-4A State Tournament.  On March 15th, Summit Hill lost to Edwardsville Lincoln in the Elite 8 round at state ending the Spartans' season with an 18-6 record. 

The Summit Hill team members are:  Kelsey Cappel, Haley Elmer, Heidi DeVries, Katelyn Orth, Hannah Kowalczyk, Casey Kirschsieper, Sydney Nekola, Paige Carlson, Kasey Bowman, Cassidy Tanner, Megan Blaney, Delaney Jacobson, Katie Beaudin, manager Brie Rush, Head Coach Keith McGrail, and Assistant Coach Jen Lewis.  Summit Hill Junior High serves the communities of Frankfort, Tinley Park, and Mokena
