Tinley Orland Palos Tea Party Meeting Thursday, September 27, 2012, 7:00 pm Tinley Park VFW Post 2791, 17147 Oak Park Ave, Tinley Park, IL Speaker: Dan Proft Topic: Upcoming Elections

On Thursday, September 27th the Illinois Patriot Alliance Tinley Orland Palos Tea Party will host guest speaker Dan Proft at the Tinley Park VFW Post 2791.  Doors will open at 6:45 p.m.; the pledge of allegiance, national anthem, and introductions will start promptly at 7:00 p.m.; and  Dan is scheduled to begin speaking immediately thereafter.

Dan will be speaking on the upcoming elections and the impact they will have at the national level as well as on the residents of Illinois.  He will also discuss what defines the Tea Party and the five principles we should stand for.  The evening should provide for unique perspectives on the candidates, the electoral process, and insight into ourselves as we head through the last turn and into the final stretch of the next election.

Dan has an impressive biography; he is an entrepreneur, writer, former Republican candidate for Governor, and currently is a radio talk show host for 89 WLS in Chicago, where he co-hosts a show from 9-11am each morning with Bruce Wolf.  Additionally, Dan also serves on the boards of directors for both the Disabled Patriot Fund, a non-profit that provides assistance to Illinois military families, and Freedom to Learn-Illinois, a non-profit that provides private elementary school scholarships to disadvantaged children in Chicago.  He is presently on a leave of absence as a Senior Fellow at the Illinois Policy Institute (a free-market think tank in Chicago).  Most importantly, Proft is an aspiring basketball coach.

Dan earned his BA from Northwestern University and his JD from Loyola University-Chicago School of Law. He grew up in Wheaton, Illinois, and now resides in Chicago.
