Chicago Bears Mascot Staley, Library Set to Educate on Healthy Living

Chicago Bears mascot, Staley, and the Mokena Community Public Library will host a healthy living class on Tuesday, July 10, from 10 to 11 a.m. The event will feature lessons on healthy living, eating right and proper exercise.

Mokena children of all ages have their own personal invite from a very special host—Chicago Bears mascot Staley. 

Staley and the  will offer a session on healthy living and eating with the Chicago Bears' program, First and Goal: How to Score a Touchdown for a Healthy Life. The hour-long event will take place Tuesday, July 10, from 10 to 11 a.m.

“Going with the summer reading theme of 'Reading Is So Delicious,' [Staley] is going to be talking about health and eating healthy,” said Wendy Asbridge, Young Adults Coordinator at the library.

The program will focus on what it means to be healthy and how to maintain a healthy lifestyle. The program will end with challenging students to complete Staley's 12-Week Fitness Challenge.

Those attendees who finish the challenge will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a pair of Chicago Bears tickets, a VIP tour of Soldier Field before the game and more.
