One person was killed and two others were injured in a two-vehicle crash about 7:45 p.m. Sept. 26 in Frankfort.
Frankfort Fire Protection District Battalion Chief Todd Hamm said one person was taken to Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox and another was airlifted to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
Illinois State police confirmed that one person died as a result of the crash at LaGrange and Pauling Roads. The accident is still under investigation, said ISP Trooper Jennifer Kirincich.
The accident forced the closure of LaGrange Road while the emergency crews were on the scene.
No further details were available as of 11 p.m. Thursday.
