Town Rallies Around Marine Who Helped Others: VIDEO

John Conrath was the guy who helped, organizing fundraisers and other charity events for fellow veterans and motorcycle riders in need. After surgical complications left him unable to work, Conrath found the people he helped were there to return the favor.

Local businesses gathered Saturday at to meet with the community, talk, network and show what Mokena offers. This year's business expo was the first hosted by the park district.

Mokena Girl Scouts Hold Father-Daughter Dance: Share Your Photos

Possibly the most adorable story of the weekend, local Girl Scout troops held their yearly Father-Daughter Girl Scout Ball. This year's theme was "Hollywood" and the chairty beneficiary was the Frankfort Township Food Pantry.

Area mainstay Silver Cross Hospital moved on Sunday to a new location in New Lenox. It left behind an empty building and decades of memories. We found a few people willing to share theirs.
