Seven commissioners make up the Park District Board. Meetings are held on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. Meetings that take place on the second Tuesday are at Village Hall, 11004 Carpenter St., while meetings on the fourth Tuesday are at the Oaks Recreation & Fitness Center, 10847 LaPorte Rd.

There are four four-year-term seats open this year. Two incumbents (Dennis Bagdon and Kevin Brogan) and George McJimpsey and Jim Richmond (not the same Jim Richmond who is currently on the board) are running for those seats.

In addition, two two-year-term seats are open. Two incumbents (Steve Kirschsieper and Alex Vecchiet) and Jeff Leonard will run for those.
