Candidate Questions
Is there any additional experience you believe qualifies you for the position?
Small business owner (retired).
What would your priorities be if elected to this office?
- Economic development.
- Jobs.
- Health care.
- Pensions.
What sets you apart from the other candidates?
My 24 years of experience bringing economic development and jobs to Tinley Park, working with and balancing a $65 million budget and funding the village's pension obligations every year. Also, my work with current businesses in their expansion processes; utilizing incentives that have not cost the taxpayers a dime.
What should first be done by the state to keep businesses that have strongly voiced the possibility of leaving, such as CME and Sears?
The State needs to utilize tax dollars, but at the same time, needs commitments for jobs and dollars prior to giving away incentives. This would be a win-win for both sides.
What can be done to help College Illinois?
What should the government do to create more jobs?
Tax incentives with strings attached that require new jobs, new tax dollars and the ability to stay within the state for a number of years.
What are your philosophies on social issues such as same-sex marriage and abortion, and what should government’s role in those issues?
Do you support a gaming bill that would increase the number of casinos or othergambling venues in Illinois? Should a casino be built in Chicago?
Gaming should be expanded, especially in the Southland, but the additional revenues need to be tied for specific needs of the communities, such as a trauma center.
What do you suggest for property tax relief?
A stated previously, economic development that creates revenue for communities and the state living up to its financial obligations to both communities and schools.
Should the state consider consolidating school districts? What would be the best way to accomplish this in your legislative district?
Should the state legalize marijuana?
Are there ways to reform the legislative scholarship program, or would you support calls to eliminate the program?
Eliminate them totally.
Who are your political heroes and why?
No one in particular, but those that seek elected office at a higher level to serve with honor and do what's right for the country.

Please answer all the questions. You can do that by replying here. Social issues are the most important criteria for my decision this year.

Nice guy but questionnaire demonstrates his deficiencies. Some people are better qualified for work on a Board rather than holding a seat in a Senate.
