A woman is suing the New Lenox Berkot's after her son allegedly knocked a soda off a display and it hit him in the head.
Allegations of an unsafe soda have prompted a woman to sue the New Lenox Berkot's. Thanks to a suggestion from resident and avid I Love Mokena reader Sue Spurck we just might have found actual royalty in our midst. Hogwarts Academy may have Harry Potter, here in Mokena we have Danny Potter. If you've ever been to Berkot's Super Food in the last 10 years then you've likely met Danny, our true Prince of Mokena. The handsome and pleasant 32 year old has lived in Mokena his entire life. A Lincoln Way graduate, he loves all things about our beautiful little village. When asked if he would change anything in town his reply was absolutely not. He likes things …

Berkot's Super Food in Mokena is a happy reminder of more laid back, quieter days. Several years ago they completed a massive expansion and remodeling project that turned our quaint little grocery store into an even more full service but just as friendly place to fill a shopping cart. The service and home town atmosphere is just as prevalent as ever. It's never a surprise to run into friends and neighbors as you peruse the aisles checking off your shopping list. Brookhaven …
