The ex-wife of former Bull Eddy Curry was acquitted of a felony battery she allegedly committed against their son.
Lucky for the ex-wife of former Bulls star Eddy Curry, a Will County judge shares her outlook on sparing the belt and spoiling the child. "I'll tell you, ma'am, there's a lot of people who don't view things the way I do," Judge Daniel Rozak told Curry's ex-wife, Korie Kellogg, after finding her not guilty of aggravated battery to a child Friday. Kellogg, 30, was arrested and jailed in April by Mokena police. She had beaten her then 10-year-old son, Eddy Curry Jr., 10 times with a belt, said her attorney, Jeff Tomczak. Staff at her son's school told her to take her child to the hospital, Tomczak said. Hospital staff alerted police and officers ultimately took her in on a felony charge. In between the Taj Gibson and Devin Hester camps on Friday, June 29 at Lincoln-Way Central, they answered questions previewing their teams' upcoming seasons. The Chicago Bears kick-off their season on Sunday, Septemeber 9 at noon. NBA officials have yet to release the Bulls and the rest of the league's schedule for the 2012-13 season.

The Chicago Bulls Luvabulls cheerleaders will be part of Dreamz Elite Allstars' open house Saturday, April 14, at Tumbling & Cheerleading Academy, signing autographs and having pictures taken. Coaches from Dreamz Elite Allstars will talk to parents and children what's involved with the competitive cheerleading program, which is open to kids between 5 and 15. Dreamz Elite Allstars is coached by Frankfort resident Rachel Williams and former Luvabulls Kimberly Scherp. What a time for Chicago sports fans. The Sox and Cubs getting started is generally enough, but this year the defending Stanley Cup champs, the Blackhawks, and the upstart, suprise No. 1 seed Bulls are getting set to start the second season. The Blackhawks snuck into the playoffs and their first game is at 9 p.m. tonight. The Bulls finish the regular season tonight against the Nets and will take on the Pacers in the first round of the NBA playoffs, though the schedule hasn't been released yet.
