D210 Board Member Resigns; L-Way Accepting Applications to Fill Spot

Board member David Izzo was appointed to the Will County Board this week, leaving his spot on the District 210 school board open. The district will accept applications through Nov. 30.

Want a say about what's going on in the local high school district? The Lincoln-Way high school district is accepting applications for a board position after a member resigned Thursday. Member David Izzo was appointed to the Will County Board on Thursday, filling the vacated position of county representative Laurie Smith (R-New Lenox), who moved to Florida in October. That leaves Izzo's position open. Applications will be accepted through Wednesday, Nov. 30. For a copy of the application packet, contact secretary Sue Fennell at 815-462-2135 or sfennell@lw210.org. Izzo, a Tinley Park resident, served on the District 210 board since 2005. His second term would have ended in 2013, when the next Lincoln-Way school board election takes place. …
