Every Friday we'll feature some family-friendly weekend events that are happening in the Lincoln-Way communities. New Lenox SATURDAY, JAN. 12 Hickory Creek Volunteer Work Day Hickory Creek Volunteer Work Day, 8 a.m. till noon at Hickory Creek Barrens Nature Center and Preserve, 141 s. Schoolhouse Rd., New Lenox. Come and enjoy the cool crisp air and the hum of the chainsaw. Learn about native species and more, while helping to clean-up the preserve.
