Mokena Police Blotter: Chicago Woman Charged With Credit Card Fraud

Jamelah S. Thompson was charged with unlawful possession of another person's credit card after a Speedway clerk called police about suspicious activity.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 5 Jamelah S. Thompson, 30, of the 6200 block of South University in Chicago, faces felony credit card fraud charges after her arrest at the intersection of West 194th Street and Wolf Road. A clerk at the Speedway at 19726 Wolf Road called police to report a woman attempting to purchase several cartons of cigarettes with several credit cards. The clerk told police that it seemed suspicious because previous incidents involving similar purchases with multiple cards involved stolen or fraudulent cards. The report states that the woman, Thomas, was able to purchase three cartons after several attempts. Frankfort Man Cuts Self, Threatens Woman With Knife: Police Blotter

Anthony S. McKee, 23, faces charges of battery, aggravated assault, and the unlawful use of a weapon after cutting himself and threatening a woman with a knife.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 7 Anthony S. McKee, 23, of the 20200 block of South Rosewood Court in Frankfort, was arrested and charged with battery, aggravated assault and unlawful use of a weapon after cutting himself and threatening a woman with a knife. According to the report, police were called about a domestic disturbance involving multiple people fighting in front of a home on the 9000 block of Liscanor Avenue at approximately 1:28 a.m. While en route to the address, the responding officer was informed that several people were fleeing the scene on foot, but he didn't find anybody when he searched the area. Police Blotter: Speeding Stop Leads to Warrant Arrest

Mokena Police reports, Oct. 1-7.

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 3 Codey M. Cervantes, 20, of the 111000 block of Daniel Trail, was arrested on an in-state warrant after a traffic stop at the intersection of 104th Avenue and 191st Street. A patrol officer stopped a vehicle that Cervantes was a passenger in for going 55 mph in a 45 mph zone at 12:44 a.m. Upon approaching the car, the officer detected the odor of alcohol and asked the driver to step out and perform a field sobriety test. The officer determined that the driver was not under the influence and asked Cervantes and another passenger to exit the vehicle. Upon checking the passengers' IDs and running their information, the officer was told that Cervantes had an active warrant out for his arrest. He was taken into custody and …
