NEW LENOX May 5: Thomas Cosgrove, 40, of the 1200 block of Shagbark Road, New Lenox, was charged with driving under the influence and speeding, according to a report. Police stopped at car for speeding at about 3:01 a.m. near the intersection of Laraway Road and Stonebridge Drive. Cosgrove was arrested after an investigation by police. He posted bond and was released. May 4: Jose Fuentes-Jimenez, 31, of the first block of Calle Regina Medina, Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, was charged with driving under the influence, driving without insurance, disobeying a traffic control device and speeding, according to a report. EVERGREEN PARK April 26: Christine Y. Blades, 46, of the 200 block of South Torrence Avenue in Sauk Village, was charged with driving under the influence, failing to dim headlights, using unsafe equipment and driving with a defective window, according to a report. Blades was stopped at about 12:11 a.m., near 98th Street and Western Avenue, after an officer noticed the vehicle's bright headlights were on. The officer also reported seeing sparks coming from the rear of the vehicle and believed the car's axle might have been broken. Police reported smelling a strong odor of alcohol on the driver's breath and noticed that two airbags inside the car had deployed. CHICAGO HEIGHTS April 17: Angelica M. Stevenson, 32, of the 4200 block of Lindenwood Drive, Matteson, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood-alcohol level greater than 0.08, failing to yield to an emergency vehicle and driving without a license, according to a report. Stevenson was stopped at about 4:31 a.m. near 1000 E. 14th St. after her car failed to yield for an emergency vehicle. An officer noted the driver had bloodshot eyes and a smell of alcohol on her breath. Stevenson took field sobriety tests and a breath test before she was arrested. Przytula, 48, of the 6100 block of LaGrange Court in Oak Forest, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood-alcohol level greater than 0.08 and speeding, according to a report. Przytula was seen traveling 59mph in a 45mph zone at about 11:53 p.m. in the 16500 block of 80th Avenue. During a traffic stop, Przytula appeared to have difficulty rolling down his window. Patel is accused of driving away from a crash that happened at about 1:13 a.m. near the intersection of 159th Street and Laramie. Police caught up with Patel at 167th Street and Cicero Avenue, where they found him standing next to his black 2010 Toyota Corolla. OAK LAWN March 16: A man told police he was having a bad day when they stopped him for speeding around 10:33 p.m., reports said. Police said that Ahmed Alaylan, 35, was observed abruptly changing lanes when he was clocked driving 55mph in a 30mph zone. Ahmed was pulled over near 95th Street and 52nd Avenue, allegedly told the officer he had two Budweisers earlier in the evening. Police said Ahmed failed field sobriety tests. Ahmed refused to take a Breathlyzer test and had to be woken repeatedly during booking, reports said. He was charged with DUI and speeding. Ahmed’s next court appearance is May 2 in Bridgeview. Kuzminski, 20, of the 18000 block of Highland Avenue, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a BAC over .08, speeding and no insurance, following an incident near the intersection of Harlem Avenue and Hickory Street. Police initially stopped Kuzminski after witnessing him driving 57 mph in a 40-mph zone. During the stop, Kuzminski was unable to provide a valid insurance card and admitted to having a few drinks at this girlfriend's house, according to the police report.
