Three Mokena Teens Charged With Underage Drinking

The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning in Frankfort.

Four teens, three of whom are from Mokena, were issued notices to appear in court at 2:30 a.m. on the 22300 block of La Grange Road in Frankfort. Ryan J. Testa, 18, of the 19700 block of Glennell Avenue, is charged with underage drinking, improper lane usage, improper lighting and driving without insurance. A 17-year-old Mokena boy and a 16-year-old Homewood girl face charges of illegal consumption of alcohol and curfew violation. A 17-year-old Mokena boy is charged with illegal consumption of alcohol. Just because he was drinking does not mean he was drunk. Anything over .08 is a DUI, he could have been under that and passed the sobriety tests. All they have to do is smell the alcohol. 18 is considered an adult, but 21 is legal age to drink, which would mean underage drinking..
