Whole Foods Opens in Orland Park

Hundreds of people lined up to break bread with Whole Foods staff and Orland Park officials to open the new grocery store Friday morning. Crowds poured into the store throughout the day.

Whole Foods in Orland Park has opened. The new 27,500 square-foot grocery store opened with a bread-breaking ceremony outside the main entrance Friday morning, where hundreds of people waited for the doors to open. With a DJ playing songs, Whole Foods staff and Orland Park officials tore pieces off a large braided loaf of bread before opening the doors to the new store. Crowds continued to visit and shop well into Friday night. See the behind-the-scenes efforts in our pre-opening gallery.
