Police Blotter: Gun Stolen During Gypsy Ruse
Mokena police reports, March 26-30
FRIDAY, MARCH 30 Nicholas J. Smith, 22, of the 19800 block of Schoolhouse Road in Mokena was charged with criminal damage to property after a woman told police Smith punched her car mirror outside his home around 10 p.m. Police responded to the domestic dispute and found Smith’s hand bleeding. Police said several locked trailers in the 19100 block of Blackhawk Parkway were burglarized sometime between 7 p.m. March 29 and 6:30 a.m. March 30. The locks were cut and several pieces of lawn care equipment were stolen, though the property owner had not turned over a list of specific items at the time of the report.
