Man Caught with Pot, Pipe and Grinder: Mokena Police Blotter

Mokena Police Department reports, Dec. 25-29 • Christmas Day Theft • Man Arrested for Arkansas Warrant • Man Caught with Pot, Pipe and Grinder.

TUESDAY, DEC. 25 Two 20-pound propane tanks were stolen at 8:36 p.m. from the 11000 block of Third Street. Each tank was estimated to be worth $50. THURSDAY, DEC. 27 Steven A. McKinney, 28, of the 14400 block of W. St. Louis Avenue in Midlothian, was taken into custody on an out of state warrant from Arkansas for parole violation at 4:16 p.m. at the intersection of W. La Porte Road and Lakeview Way. SATURDAY, DEC. 29 Ryan M. Pierie, 21, of the 20400 block of Ashford Circle, was arrested for possession of less than 30 grams of cannabis and possession of drug equipment at 12:57 p.m. at the intersection of Swinford Court and Swinford Lane. WEDNESDAY, DEC. 5 Unknown persons cut the power cord used to light a Christmas train in the front yard of a residence on the 100 block of Kalarama Drive in New Lenox. SATURDAY, DEC. 8 James F. Wilkens, 20, of the 20700 block of S. Ellen Lane in Frankfort, was arrested for improper lane usage and illegal possession of alcohol by a minor at the intersection of E. Colorado Avenue and S. La Grange Road in Frankfort. James P. Vogelsanger, 20, of the 12100 block of Blackthorne Ridge Drive in Mokena, was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and possession of less than 30 grams of cannabis at the intersection of S. Mokena Police Department reports, Nov. 4-6 • Pot Possession and a Runaway Arrestee • Alleged Trespassing and Accusations at St. Mary Church • Father-Son Fight Leads to Arrests for Both.

SUNDAY, NOV. 4 Two Mokena men face a slew of charges after one was discovered with pot in his car and the other gave Mokena police the runaround. Scott R. Stec, 22, of the 10700 block of Crystal Creek Drive, is charged with aggravated battery and resisting and obstructing a peace officer, after he aggressively attempted to evade arrest, according to police reports. Marko Blagojevic, 21, of the 10600 block of Revere Road, is charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug equipment, after police discovered the drugs and accessories in his car.
