ReplyKilled himself? Or one of the other two took care of the only (known) thing that could rat them out? Now what clues/evidence is there to identify the other two?

ReplyBen, thanks! This is also updated on ABC's website.
"The victim then left his home and drove his vehicle to pursue the offenders until he lost them around Harlem on I-80. The robbers shot at the victim again while in in their vehicle during the car chase at 179 and Wolf, 179th and 110th, and LaGrange and I-80." ....... "They added that the victim, a businessman in the car industry who relocated from Portage, Ind., to Will County, does not seem to be involved in any illegal activity, nor is his fiancee." -

ReplyI heard elsewhere the 30 year old victim was not found shot on scene as stated above, but rather in a white cargo van on I-80 near lagrange road. Which is true?

ReplyNo one is saying they do not want to read about this. I personally love reading these types of positive articles to balance out the usual crime/drug related ones. But I do want to read those too as to not turn a blind eye on what is going on in our community. The question is the "breaking" classification." I personally would say this does not qualify as breaking.

Chad, noted believe me I too add up all taxes to my income. First, sales tax and gasoline taxes are not charged to what you earn, only what you spend so not really able to be used in this. Second, federal payroll tax of 33% is not across all of your income, only for income over $217k. So say you had $250k in taxable income, ammortized out, you're looking at ~24% in federal taxes on that. Third, gross income != taxable income. You have a lot of deductions, expenses, credits, rebates, blah blah to reduce your taxable income.

Butch, interesting post. I hear 90% of all stats are made up. Ok I just made 90% up so I don't have a source for that. But I'm curious, do you have sources for yours? I'd like to believe them but from the numbers I've seen they are nowhere as severe as yours.

Chad, do you have a source for that stat? From what I saw, Welfare spending at the federal level increased from $415 billion to $422 billion from 2009-2013.

Voklst, What are you talking about? An owner renting out a single family home is not the same as subletting. Subletting is if the renter in turn rents some or all of the property. And unless there is a very controlling HOA that prevents this, (and I'm not even sure if it's legal for single family), or some local law/ordinance that I've never heard of, the owner of the property should be able to rent it freely.
